Air Travel

The Grand Hyatt is located on the island of Kauai. You'll need to fly into the Lihue, Kauia Airport (see driving directions >>).

You may find more affordable options if you look for flights into Honolulu and then take an "island hopper" flight to Kauai:

Go Airlines

(starting at $9 each way)

Aloha Airlines

(starting at $39 each way)

Hawaiian Airlines

(starting at $39 each way)

Discount (updated May 23, 2007): There is a special discount rate of $260 per night* for any wedding guests staying at the Grand Hyatt. This rate is in effect from September 3 – September 12. You can book your reservations either online or by phone.

Online: Jennifer & Jeff Wedding Reservation Center >>

Phone: 800-742-2353. Please make sure to specifically ask if you are talking to an on-site reservation specialist at the Grand Hyatt Kauai (if not, please ask to be transferred as the corporate office might not know about this special rate).

You’ll need to book before August 6, 2007 to ensure this special rate. Any reservations received after August 6 will be offered at the hotel’s published rates.

*There will also be a one-time $7 poterage fee per guest (meaning you don’t have to tip the bellman) and a $15 daily resort fee

Condos

When searching for a place to stay, we recommend Poipu as it's close to the Grand Hyatt. Some affordable condos we've found in the Poipu area include:

No Shuttle Service

There is no shuttle service offered by the Grand Hyatt.
If you are staying elsewhere, please contact your accommodations directly to inquire.

Taxi Service

Taxi phones and cabs are located curbside at baggage claims areas at the Lihue Airport. Approximate one-way cost will be $50.

Rental Cars

If you plan to make a vacation out of your trip, you will want to rent a car to travel to activities across the island.

If you have your heart set on visiting "The Wettest Spot on Earth" at Mount Wai'ale'ale, you will need a 4-Wheel-Drive vehicle. Otherwise, we have experienced that compact, inexpensive automobiles do a great job on the mostly well-paved roads of Kauai.

All major rental car companies are represented on Kauai. To pick up your car, proceed from the baggage claim area to the Rent-A-Car booths across the street from the terminal. They will direct you from there to where you can pick-up your car.
